:: Alireza Rasoulinejad
is an Iranian independent, self-thought filmmaker. He was born in 17 April 1975, in Iran.
In 2000, he produced and directed his first short film, Adagio.
Between 2000 and 2003 he worked as the manager of Art Cultural Center’s film club, he held several programs about Cinema History.
One of these programs was “Different Cinema: Ups and Downs.”
In 2004, he directed and produced his first long film, Exteriors. This is a witty experimental film about contemporary Iran,
which has been shown in a number of festivals.
His second film, Minor/Major (2010) was an experimental documentary.
In 2007 he made his third film, Scenes from the life of a detective (2017), this was an experimental narrative movie.
He is also the founder of Filmkhaneh Magazine.
Since 2011 he has been working as a publisher and editor-in-chief at filmkhaneh. Filmkhaneh is an Iranian Film Quarterly Magazine.
His recent work , Eastwood (2021), is an experimental documentary film.
:: Synopsis
Before setting out on a journey to the northern territories
a middle aged man invites his nephews to his apartment.
1-In their uncles apartment the two young men find notes on Woody Allen,
the Iranian middle social groups, the country's contemporary architecture, film industry, etc.
2-In this part the two young men find an unfinished documentary film that has been made by their uncle.
3-The two young men make an experimental film on the basis of their uncle's findings.
